last week, a quiet American named Brian visited us and seemed to have a genuine interest in R/C of all types including airplanes and gliders. he attended last week’s club race and he was hooked. shortly thereafter, he chose the first in his collection, the Porsche 917k 1970 LeMans Winner. like me, he’s a guy who likes to study his car and slowly add option parts to observe how each improves handling & stability. i’m sure he’ll be a formidable competitor in our championship points race. for this week’s race, i’ve decided to go with the Porsche 911 GT3. unfortunately, its not competitive without adding weight for stability during high speed cornering. i’ll post pics and discussion about that on the forum, so check-in with your input and start your own threads to help our community thrive. tomorrow (Saturday, February 20th) is our next race day, so look for the latest race report and championship points race standings on the forum as well. for the latest info on products available in the shop. browse to our online shop to conveniently pick up any and everything you need for your dNaNo and even various items for Mini-Z and Minium AD.
today we welcomed a new member, Ian from the UK. he’s in the buzzing property biz @ Thailand Property but found some time to hang out with us over the past month or so and finally decided to join with the Aston Martin Racing DBR9 as his first dNaNo. after getting some help adding all the necessary option parts, he took a few practice runs on F1R and it looks like he’ll need only a short time to be a real competitor in our club racing. today is Christmas Eve (December 24) and i suppose most peeps are spending time with their families and preparing for a long day of exchanging and enjoying gifts. from our family at NanoTrax to yours, i’d like to wish everyone a Happy Holiday Season and a blessed New Year. i’ve already sent out a mailer but i’d like to reiterate our thanks to everyone that has supported us with their patronage, referrals and participation – our shop, our website, our hobby is nothing without YOU! - (*ooops* ;-))
normally, visitors come to the shop and try rental cars for a while before finally deciding on which dNaNo they’d like to own and Vincent (BEL) is the most recent who did just that. he chose the Porsche 962CLH No.10 1986 LeMans as his first model. he’s spent today installing option parts and learning more about how his car handles in preparation for battle on the circuits. tomorrow is club race day and i’ll post a full race report including championship points standing on the forum as usual shortly after its over. remember, club racing starts @ 6pm every Sunday, open to the public for interested participants and spectators! in the gallery, i’ve included a picture of Pim‘s special dish for the week, spring rolls with spicy sauce on the side + pics of our holiday decorated showroom shelves. the best food, lots of fun and friends from around the world @ NanoTrax ;-)
