in the video, you’ll see a driver piloting a ‘Drift Spec AWD‘ on the 2nd Floor Drift Lounge Circuit @ Nanotrax. stop by to have a go or grab a Mini Z to swing into drift at home. i had to quickly put this together but i’m looking forward to releasing another very soon. want to make comments? register and post @ dnanoclub.com – see ya there!
i’ve had two Mini Z *MR-03* Chassis Sets in stock since before they were officially released but no one seemed to be interested so they’d sat on the shelf waiting for someone to claim and breathe life into them. after discussions with our local Mini Z expert (RobbyDV) and another member sparked my interest (Ek), i confiscated one of the sets for myself and ordered some option parts cuz anyone who knows anything about the “D” or the “Z”, knows they just aren’t what they can be right out of the box. my list included 1) ball bearings (Kyosho), 2) ball differential (Kyosho) 3) 94mm motor pod v2 (Atomic) 4) 94mm titanium damper kit (Atomic), 5) lexan t-plates (Atomic), 6) low down front springs (PN Racing), 7) king pin shims (PN Racing), 8) gyro (X-Power), 9) metal servo gear (Kyosho), 10) IC Tag (Kyosho) and 11) a clear grey skeleton (Kyosho). most important of each of these was the skeleton because i’ve never worked on a Mini Z so my ignorance needed some attendance and rebuilding one with a fresh skeleton would force me to do it and get it right. no need for a meticulous set of construction pics, at the heart of this hobby is DIY (do-it-yourself) so, i won’t bore you with the details, let’s just say every step of dismantling, rebuilding and replacing was a learning process. surprisingly it only took yesterday afternoon and a coffee-fueled morning session to get it all together and running properly. none of my cars are shelf queens, so when i do get the chance to throw this baby down on a circuit, it’ll be ready to blaze. i’ve coveted the ADVAN Supra JGTC 2003 GT Limited Edition ASC for some time and the 94mm motor pod allowed me to set the chassis up to fit this impressive shell. many of the option parts i’ve installed are now available in our online shop, so if you’re looking to hook up your Z, login for convenient online shopping. there are a few other option parts i still need including some decent tires (the stock just don’t give any grip on any surface i’m aware of) but this is just the beginning. want to discuss your Mini Z projects? stop by the forum and share your thoughts and experience with our community. unfortunately, we won’t be racing Mini Z @ nanotrax due to size limitations but we shall see – perhaps a nanotrax 2 for the Z? who knows what the future could bring? ;-)
today we re-stocked some best selling items but also added some new pieces from the Kyosho Auto Scale Collection for dNaNo and Mini-Z. the new line of 2.4GhZ AWD (MA-010) chassis sets brings new, sleek models, each with a fresh, sleek livery. as always, with an inventory update comes a new discount coupon for use when you place an order at our online shop. this time, get 10% off your total and shipping for as little as 999ThB worldwide! register here on the nanotrax blog and check your e-mail within the next 24 hrs. to receive the coupon code and use it at checkout. questions, comments or possible product requests? register and post on our forum where participation is increasing daily. want to contact me directly? send an e-mail to qon@nanotrax.net. i’m proud to say that 31 of 33 available dNaNo models are now available at NanoTrax. we strive to be #1 for news, information & the latest in dNaNo (outside Japan, of course) – read about it, learn about it, get hip to it here!
its impossible to judge the success or failure of any business in its first year of operation. the only real way to measure progress is to get feedback from customers & interested visitors. unfortunately, that feedback has been minimal – almost non-existent. when laying down the framework of a business, one has to give customers what they want, not what one would like them to have so its partly my fault. to correct that error, i’ve disabled blog registration and opened forum registration. my attempt to integrate the two has apparently hampered participation. in the future, i hope to hear from every single person who visits the site and enjoys the work i put into it.
we had 4 drivers in for racing this weekend but only Daren & I collected NanoTrax dNaNo Drivers’ Championship Points. in-store sales have been lagging a bit as well so i’ve stepped up development of our online shop in an effort to increase internet sales. until direct online ordering is available, you’ll need to contact me by email to work out a purchase. you’ll notice the “shop” link at the top menu now links to our online catalog where you can browse currently available inventory. speaking of inventory, i now have all available dNaNo option parts from Atomic & PN Racing in stock. i also picked up the KO Propo 2.4 GhZ Module Mini-Z and adapter by PN Racing so now i’ll be able to use my Sanwa M11 transmitter with my dNaNo (yay!). i bought an extra set for anyone who may want one but that thing is NOT cheap. check today’s gallery for the latest additions to inventory and please stop by the forum to say hello and participate in our R/C discussion.
as promised, i’ve produced a video tour of the shop and dropped it on our YouTube Channel. feedback is always appreciated and to give feedback here on our blog, you’ll need to register. once you’ve registered, you can post comments here and participate on our forum (message board). some people have asked why we don’t have a way to buy online? our shop is located in Thailand and there are minimal online sales options for Thai businesses (there is no “Paypal Thailand”). 2nd, our dNaNo sales are currently restricted to Thailand. outside sales could interfere with agreements between Kyosho and other retail outlets. if you want to buy anything from NanoTrax, you have to come to the shop OR send me an email to work out a purchase. if there are items you are interested in, contact me now as i’m currently working out our next shipment from distributors. enjoy the tour, i’ll be back in a couple days with another update.
