time for a new ride and i’m not talkin’ about the one sitting out in front of the house. i’m talkin about the ones i can own that i can’t own in real life and even if i had the money to buy them, i wouldn’t anyhow but since they’re tiny, i can and i do. now i’m bored with my Lamborghini Countache LP500S, i decided to dismantle it along with my Porsche 911 GT3, then use the required parts to build the Ferrari F40. its performance is still in question since none of the club members has tried it in competition, but we’ll see how things go at this week’s club race. in other news, we’re making our move towards expansion and that means adding more items, from a variety of brands that produce high quality aftermarket parts for dNaNo and Mini Z. view the gallery of latest items here and visit the online shop to browse our entire catalog of chassis sets, option parts and replacement parts for your dNaNo.

last week, a quiet American named Brian visited us and seemed to have a genuine interest in R/C of all types including airplanes and gliders. he attended last week’s club race and he was hooked. shortly thereafter, he chose the first in his collection, the Porsche 917k 1970 LeMans Winner. like me, he’s a guy who likes to study his car and slowly add option parts to observe how each improves handling & stability. i’m sure he’ll be a formidable competitor in our championship points race. for this week’s race, i’ve decided to go with the Porsche 911 GT3. unfortunately, its not competitive without adding weight for stability during high speed cornering. i’ll post pics and discussion about that on the forum, so check-in with your input and start your own threads to help our community thrive. tomorrow (Saturday, February 20th) is our next race day, so look for the latest race report and championship points race standings on the forum as well. for the latest info on products available in the shop. browse to our online shop to conveniently pick up any and everything you need for your dNaNo and even various items for Mini-Z and Minium AD.
after several races and 3 different layouts on F1R, i figured it was time to refresh the look and interest on F2L, our lounge circuit. on our day off, i updated the curbs and added a chicane (sp) to the layout adding a small level of difficulty. there’s not much we can do with it at the moment considering its “L” shape and only 18 square metres but i think its now a bit more of a challenge and will be a comfortable place to hold our next club race. take a look at the gallery for photos of F2L and a few shots of PJ’s Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 and my Mazda 787b with new Auto Scale Body.
