now that a few drivers are back in town, our 4th Season is in full swing. Sunday, five club members and a guest driver gathered for Round 2 in our dNano Drivers’ Championship at Nanotrax Circuit F1R. our guest was 13-year-old ‘Pop’ from Bangkok who’s considering adding dNano racing to his list of hobbies. Mom & Dad were excited spectators while his little sister helped marshal the final. Olaf made his return from Switzerland and Brian’s countless mods have helped to improve his car’s performance while practice has improved his driving. during the final, Ian was off pace as usual since we returned to clockwise and Dahm’s concentration was shaken, eliminating his chances to catch the leader… me. i’ll have to admit this was surprising even for me as i only made a few changes to my Nissan Fairlady Z but apparently those made an amazing difference as the car handled consistently from start to finish and allowed me to easily best a competitive field. perhaps my new KO Propo EX5-UR (courtesy of Olaf & Grischa) made a difference? not quite an M11 but functionality and response are superior to the KT-18. do you win at your club races? please take a moment to post your chassis choice and racing setup on our forum as i will.
dnano’s popularity is growing quickly in Europe based on orders this month with most of our customers coming from France, Switzerland, Italy, Finland, Germany, Austria and Spain. things are starting to pick up in Canada and the good ol’ USA as well so i’m looking forward to hearing from all the new and experienced drivers joining the dnano indoor racing craze. we’ve added many new items to the online shop including the Perfex KT-18 White Body Set and Body Kits for the R8 & Reventon arriving early February. i should’ve updated last week with a report on our race @ the 2011 PRC Cup. Will got our truggies all hooked up and we entered the competition as 2 of the 3, all nanotrax competitors in the class… Dahm was the 3rd driver. it was fun racing nitro again but i was ‘nackered’ after that weekend and i now recall why i’ve switched to indoor electric. nonetheless, i’ve got the nitro bug and i’ll be in BKK racing again with Will this weekend. check out a pic of Will, Dahm and I on the podium here. here are Sunday’s final results, check before for gallery photos and remember to visit our forum for my setup data!
