Pattaya isn’t a place known for ‘family fun’ but after this weekend’s club race, i’m confident nanotrax is becoming a destination for father & son, father & daughter and even the whole family to enjoy something a little out of the ordinary.  we welcomed Will (USA) from Bangkok, along with his daughter Jeeza who both broke in their dNano on F1R shortly after we opened the doors.  an interested family stopped in early and returned later to watch the racing (see photo) + Peter (NLD) and his son, Boris finally made it in for a club race.  all the usual suspects including Robby, Hugh, Ian, Thon & Dahm were in along with our next most recent new member, Andy (SWE).  this meant we had a total of 10 participants, setting up a 2-final race meet.

Robby locked up the TQ with an 8.80 sec fast lap and the bottom 4 were dropped into the Main B where they’d compete for the final 2 spots in the Main A.  Jeeza decided not to race and Boris had a dinner appointment so both missed the finals, leaving the remaining 8 drivers to battle for bragging rights.  in Main B, Hugh easily set the pace and Will did well to follow close enough to grab the last spot in the big final.  as usual, Robby got a quick start and led the entire time closely followed by Ian.  Dahm did his best to catch up and did well to maintain 3rd position ahead of me for the full 30 minutes.  i ran into tire troubles and my inconsistency continues to plague my driving so i was lucky to fend off Hugh’s pursuit.  Will ran the full race but was definitely off pace in his first official club race but expect him to get in some practice and use his 1/8 scale off road experience to climb his way to the top 3 very soon.  an excellent day of racing, family fun and friendly competition… i look forward to each and every one.  thanks to everyone who came in to participate and spectate, nanotrax is nothing without you!
