yesterday, Joom and i decided to stop by during 2010 1/8 Off Road Worlds Qualifying @ Pattaya R/C Powerboat. we’re normally very busy at the shop, but this is a major thing in R/C and it would be a shame to miss out on it when its right around the corner. there’s a huge American contention competing and being a long-time R/C racing fan, i felt obligated to get a few shots with the best hands in the business. as soon as we arrived, i ran into a friend from Kyosho Germany and spotted Adam Drake talking shop in the pit lane. a very down-to-earth, friendly guy – he graciously took a fan photo with me. i also ran into Jared Tebo on the way out and though he was busy getting his car ready, he stopped for fan photo as well. great guys and its good to see drivers from my home country doing so well on the world stage. at the time of this post, both are in the top 5 thru Round 2 of qualifying. for the latest news and updates on the worlds, check out Neobuggy – they’re doing some awesome coverage including videos and news updates every few hours. we’ll be running our club race on Saturday this week in order to close for a half day on Sunday… the Grand Final runs that day and i know it’ll be a showdown no R/C lover would want to miss!
